The Beginnings: A Gap in the Market
It all began in the traditional markets of Switzerland. Amidst fresh vegetables, cheese, and flowers, something was missing: authentic, handcrafted products from the Mediterranean region. We wanted to do more than just sell products – we wanted to tell stories, preserve craftsmanship, and bring the warmth of the Mediterranean into Swiss kitchens.
The Craft: Generations of Knowledge
Our olive wood products are crafted by experienced artisans in Tunisia – many of whom learned the trade from their fathers and grandfathers. A tradition that dates back centuries.
Every cutting board, every chess set, every bowl is hand-carved, sanded, and oiled. No machine can replace the attention to detail that goes into each piece.
The Wood: Sustainable and Unique
Our olive wood comes from old groves in the Mediterranean region. We exclusively use wood from trees that have reached the end of their productive life or come from sustainable management. Some of these trees are over 100 years old – their unique grain tells of sun, wind, and time.
