From the olive groves of Tunisia to the Swiss markets - MediterraneanArt combines Mediterranean craftsmanship with Swiss quality standards.

The beginnings: Markets and encounters

It all started in the traditional markets (Märit) of Switzerland. Among the fresh vegetables, cheese, and flowers, we discovered a gap: Where were the authentic, handcrafted products from the Mediterranean?

We wanted to do more than just sell products. We wanted to tell stories, preserve craftsmanship, and bring the warmth of the Mediterranean to Swiss kitchens.

Craftsmanship: Generations of knowledge

Our olive wood products are crafted by experienced artisans in Tunisia. Many of them learned the craft from their fathers and grandfathers – a tradition that dates back centuries.

Every cutting board, every chess set, every bowl is carved, sanded, and oiled by hand. No machine can replace the love and attention to detail that goes into each piece.

The wood: From sustainable olive groves

Our olive wood comes from old olive groves in the Mediterranean region. We exclusively use wood from trees that have finished their productive life or come from sustainable forestry.

Every olive tree has a story. Some are over 100 years old. Their unique grain tells of sun, wind, and time.

The journey: From the Mediterranean to Switzerland

Our products travel from the workshops in Tunisia to Switzerland. Here, we check each individual piece for quality before it reaches you.
